Etc.  Training is for a period of 4-18 months.  In addition to a monthly stipend CIP will meet the expenses for housing, food, local travel and health insurance.

Core Program

CIP's core program places international professionals for training in businesses, non-profit organizations and government agencies throughout Illinois. The CIP service components address participants' cultural needs, training experiences, and compensation. Compensation may include:

  • housing
  • stipend
  • insurance
  • local transportation

  • Global Partners Program

This program introduces international professionals to U.S. organizations through pre-arranged practical training programs. The trainee or the placement site is responsible for arranging the training program and finances for the trainee's stay in the U.S., including costs of living, insurance, and transportation. CIP Chicago will assist by providing the trainee J-1 sponsorship to complete the process. CIP Chicago does a mid-program and final evaluation and other supports as needed.
